Dreaming about Broken Bridge
A bridge that is collapsed, partially destroyed, or impassable. Distinct from a precarious or swaying bridge: the structure is already failed, not merely unstable.
Common interpretations
Jungian
The broken bridge in the Jungian frame often points to a transition the dreamer recognizes as needed but currently impossible. The path between two parts of the self has been severed, frequently by past loss or unresolved material. The work suggested is rarely the rebuilding itself; it is more often the acknowledgment that the bridge is not there, which the conscious mind may have been refusing.
You arrive at a bridge that ends mid-span over deep water. You had planned to cross. Often points to a connection (to a person, a former self, a possible future) the dreamer has not yet accepted is no longer available.
