Who we are

Mantika is operated by Karia Investments LLC. When this policy uses "we" or "Mantika", that means Karia Investments LLC acting as data controller.

What we collect

  • Email address, used to identify your account, send the email confirmation link, and (if you opted in) the newsletter.
  • Dream descriptions and metadata you submit through the interpretation tool: free-text description, symbols you confirmed, emotional tone, recurrence flag, life context (optional).
  • Generated interpretation content produced by Mantika for each dream you submit.
  • Anonymous session identifier, stored as a strictly-necessary cookie if you use the tool without an account. Expires 30 days after creation.
  • Hashed IP address (SHA-256 with a server-side salt) attached to anonymous dream entries. Used only to enforce the one-per-week free-tier limit; it does not enable re-identification.
  • Subscription metadata (Stripe customer ID and subscription ID) for users who subscribe to Mantika+. Payment details are stored by Stripe, not by Mantika.
  • Consent timestamps and policy versions recording which version of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy you accepted at signup time.

How we use it

Your data is used to generate interpretations, surface patterns across your dream history (paid tier), enforce the free-tier weekly limit, and operate the subscription. We do not run behavioral advertising and we do not sell your data.

Retention

  • Anonymous dream entries: 30 days from creation, then deleted. If you register within 30 days of creating an anonymous entry, the entry transfers to your account and is retained until you delete it.
  • Registered dream entries: retained until you delete the entry or the account.
  • Account record: retained while your account is active. Deleted on request.

Your rights

You can request export or deletion of your data at any time. We aim to respond within 30 days. EU and California residents have additional rights under the GDPR and CCPA respectively; we honor those rights regardless of where you reside.

Third parties

We use Supabase (database + auth), Anthropic (interpretation generation), Stripe (subscription billing), Resend (transactional + newsletter email), and Vercel (hosting + edge). Each acts as a processor under our instructions. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Cookies and similar technologies

Mantika uses only first-party cookies and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Essential cookies keep you signed in and your session secure; the site cannot work without them. Functional cookies remember a few things so the product behaves as expected: that you have used your free interpretation (so the weekly limit holds), a link between any dreams you interpret before signing up and your new account, a short-lived note of where you arrived from so we can see which channels bring people to Mantika, and briefly during signup your choice about whether to receive our newsletter. For analytics we use Plausible, which is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and does not track you across sites. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though the essential ones are required to sign in and use the tool.
